For some it may seem just a sentence, but for me it is and it will be a reality.
You cannot understand perspective if you are not here, in the middle of what is happening...you can only imagine and imagination may be the next best thing.
More than 100 countries in the same place and the vibe of an entire plenary representing different values, ideas, behaviors, ways of seeing the world. It's insightful, it makes you think and want to do more, see more, act and start building. It makes me want to be part of a bigger process, to change myself in order to give others the chance to look towards new realities.
I have met people that have been in eXchange, people that have had several leadership positions, people that have interacted with individuals with different perspectives...and the exploration is still in progress.
Today we have head the final sessions of LEAD, a leadership program developed at international level that has exceeded my expectations. For two days now we have looked inside ourselves in order to discover the way we think, feel and act. We talked about "facticity", "possibility", "uncertainty" and the ways in which accepting them or being in denial affects the way we feel. We have explored the types of leadership and had a meaningful conversation with the person that is leading AIESEC International today and the truth is: "Now that I can see, I will be moving".
We have India night tonight and AIESEC Bangalore has prepared one beautiful show for us. It's all color, music and traditions...it's Incredible India :)
My advice to you: overcome yourself.
My wish for you: experience internationalism.
My "food for thought": don't ask for permission from anybody, just take that chance.
